Commitment Required The Cardiology Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the provider to assess and care for patients, maintain documentation, and coordinate patient care. Responsibilities include triaging calls, greeting patients, assisting with examinations and procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ordering supplies. The role also involves providing patient education, performing general office duties, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Certification as a Medical Assistant and Basic Life Support are required. Previous experience in a physician clinic setting is preferred. Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience, Training and Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of medical office policies, practices and procedures, and previous experience in the healthcare system or similar setting are required. Previous experience in a physician clinic setting is preferred. Physical/Mental Requirements and Typical Working Conditions: Exposure to stressful situations, physical demands, and potentially infectious materials. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and maintain regular attendance.
